new here

hello i am new but would like to game and laarp. i have played multiple rpg's and board games and collector caard games and heroclix. please let me know if there is any room for me or what to bring and where. thankyou

Hi Jason.

FRAG runs monthly Games Days usually on the Last Saturday of every month. Just click on the "Games Days" menu option on left hand menu.

At those events there are many board gamers who all bring out a large variety of games. If you are looking to play something specific bring it out and you can find some players who share the same interests!

There is also an open AD&D campaign that runs at the events. It is also new player friendly, so stopping by is probably the best bet.

There are a couple regular LARPs that are running in the city. There is a LARP that runs at the Games Days. I'll forward this on to the moderator so that she can tell you more information about it directly.

Yeah, new players are totally welcome at the LARP we run at the games days. It's called Aftermath but due to unexpected player actions (*grin*) it's not really much of an Aftermath of much, at least not yet.

We have a wiki and forum here: http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/tsf_campaign_2011 (I'm not sure how much you can see with no account, but feel free to make one and send me your username, then I'll invite you to the campaign, even if you're not sure you want to play yet) and you can email me at parmeisan@gmail.com if you're interested in talking about making a character, or just have questions or whatever.

The general setting is Urban Fantasy, ie modern day but with the supernatural. The supernatural in this particular setting are considered almost like criminals/gangs/etc - people know they are there, but would rather stay away and pretend they don't exist - so it's a little dark, but we're having fun. I could also point you in the way of several options for an NPC for next game if you'd like to try it out before committing. (Actually, it would be pretty cool if you'd do that, we could stand for some interruption).

On another note, you can get some information on the other LARPs in the city from here: http://cenobyte.ca/Forums/ In particular, check out the Vampire subforum because it's a brand new game that's starting ... oh, apparently it's October 29th, the next games day, and that might be an issue. Well, anyway. Probably in future months it won't coincide so you could go to the first game of that and connect with us later as well if you wished.
