FRAGCon Godforged Tournament?

Hello!

I was just looking through the 2011 schedule of events for FRAGCon 2011 and I don't see godforged!

Will there not be a tournament this time around?

We didn't have a moderator commit to running the event, so unfortunately, it's not on the schedule.

If a moderator does come forward, we can add the event as there is space available.

I've been debating this, actually. Sorry for being behind on my paperwork, Jason.

I'm not sure how many people are still interested in this event. I'm going to check around in the next few days. If you or someone you know really wants to see another Godforged tournament, post here. I'll be sure to make my decision right quick.

I showed up to FRAGCON, I was so excited and had my character ready for GodForged, to find it was cancelled! That's too bad! Did someone get sick?

The tournament was cancelled Saturday night when there were no people pre-registered (the one person that did register, cancelled).

Pre-registration for events is something that we struggle with. We had a little over 40 people pre-register, and around 100 at the door, similar to last year. Few pre-registered for events, so moderators and event coordinators are never aware of the interest in their event, or how they should prepare.

The event registration system will continue to be improved to make this easier (there's a wish list of items already created), that will hopefully make this easier.
