Board of Directors
BoD - Jason Pass- President

Like many gamers, I've been playing all types of games for many years; designer board gamers, collectible card games, role playing games, even some miniature and war games.  I've been involved with FRAG events for the past four years, and was invovled with some of the previous clubs and groups that played in the local area.  Through my experience in the Information Technology industry as a project manager and architect, I am planning to use my skills to help organize FRAG to builds a sustainable and collaborative community for gamers.  I look forward to working with all of you in the future, and welcome any feedback or suggestions!

I started playing games at a young age.  I was about 13 when the great Gary Gygaxx released his thoughts on D&D.  I found it to be a unique game and loved it.  I was hooked on games from then on.  As a younger adult, I lived in Saskatoon and found gamming top be a popular pass time.  The Wizards Corner was close to where I lived so I would frequent the store a lot.  I found a number of other games that were making their start in the gamming world and I have to admit that I really never tried a whole lot of them.  I still loved the now AD&D and played countless hours and days.

I discovered Risk, Diplomacy, Supremacy and of course all the other Parker Brother games (Monopoly, Trouble, etc…..) and that was only the start of it.  I have played a lot of games but no where near the number of games or different games that I have played in Regina.  Since moving here about 6 years ago, I have massed a number of good friends and even a larger number of great gamers that I enjoy playing games with.

There are a number of my favorite games like Stone Age, Through the Ages, and yes I still love AD&D.  There are a lot of games left to try out and learn but that comes with time.  Remember, that in every game, there is a winner and a loser, but if you have fun, you have won the game regardless.

I've been interested in games my whole life. I bought my first wargame in the mid-70s and since then I have bought many more games and game accessories. My gaming interests are wide spread: wargames, RPGs, LARP, boardgames but my primary interest is in historical miniatures. I hope to help the club grow and prosper during my time on the board, through my training as an accountant and general involvement.

I have played serious (non-parker brothers) games since the 80’s. I enjoy strategy games which minimize the role of randomness.  In other words, I hate dice, wooden or not. Favorites include Up Front, Rail Baron, Empire Builder, Elfenland, Through the Ages, Agricola, Power Grid, and Le Havre.  I played a bit of D&D back when there weren’t versions, and I never did get into miniatures.  This is my second year on the board of FRAG. My desire is to build the club, both in terms of membership and in terms of activity. My programming skills and business analyst skills will help the club. I have spent many years on a number of boards and I hope this experience is an asset to the club.

I have been board gaming since the early 70's with my family, and was introduced to war games in high school such as Victory in The Pacific, War at Sea, Third Reich, Midway, Civilization, Rail Baron, D&D and Advanced D&D.  I currently play board games, Dungeons and Dragons, and also play and collect miniature games (Hero Clix, Horror Clix, D&D, Star Wars, War at Sea).  I come to the FRAG board with a diverse background; I've founded two businesses and currently work as a branch manager of a small business.   With my past membership in the International Festivals & Events Assoc. (IFEA) and the International Downtown Association (IDA) I bring a unique insight on the Return on Investment (ROI) that sponsors and advertisers require which will assist in growing the FRAG community.

BoD - Allan Luesink

I work at a seed cleaning plant as crop receiver and grader. In 2004 I began a games evening which I called “Strategy Saturday”. Through this games night I was introduced to the local gaming club, Flatland Gamers. I’ve been a member of Flatland Gamers since 2007. My goal as a member of the club’s Board is to provide consistent, dependable support in the efforts to better organize our activities.
