FRAGCon is pleased to announce that we will be screening the upcoming move Tap: Max's Game which is based on the world's most popular collectible card game, Magic: The Gathering.
Everyone has happy endings. If it’s not happy, then it’s not the end.“ Karel Adam (Ond?ej Hole?ek), however, seems to disagree. Several years ago, he and his four best friends were the top players in a Magic club Fireball and had the time of their lives. They needed nothing but still had it all – they had each other.
However, these times are long over. The Fireball gang had shattered and the club was sold. Only Karel now visits the closed club, remembering the great times he had.
One day, he sees his favourite game being played in a café, and so he asks himself a question: Can you stop being someone who have you been all the time?
And the answer changes his card career forever.
Max’s Game is a story about a friendship, separated by love…
… a friendship, separated by time…
… a friendship, separated by glory…
… a friendship, united by memories.
Come join Karel on a hard path towards a second chance, which is given just once in a lifetime…
There will be one screening of the documentary on Saturday, April 14 at 3:30 PM. The screening will be open to all attendees at the convention.
FRAG would like to thank Kamil Beer for allowing us to screen his film. Please check out the site for detailed information. This film funded with the passion and determination of the creators, so your donations and consideration are greatly appreciated!
FRAGCon is pleased to announce that we will be screening the new board game documentary, Going Cardboard.
In 1978, the German press and board game makers created the Spiel des Jahres, or "Game of the Year" award for excellence in board game design. Competition for this award contributed to an explosion in the variety and sophistication of "Eurogames."
With the arrival of The Settlers of Catan in the United States in the mid-nineties, more people began to discover the new breed of board game that had been quietly evolving in Germany for the past 30+ years.
Going Cardboard takes you into the world of "designer" board gaming, from the community of enthusiastic fans to the publishers and self-publishers, and of course, the designers. Witness the spectacle of the SPIEL show in Essen, Germany, where over 150,000 people from all over the world come together... for board games.
There will be two screenings of the documentary on Saturday, April 14 at 1:30 PM and later in the evening at 8:30 PM. The screenings will be open to all attendees at the convention.
FRAG would like to thank Lorien Green for this great opportunity to screen this documentary for you. Please check out the Going Cardboard website for additional details about the movie and the details on how to get your own copy.
